Our bite-sized hero rose to fame at age 13 when she developed her own fashion blog "The Style Rookie" and has already become a muse to many designers, including the inspiration of the Rodarte for Target line.

We Love: Honey Boo Boo Child

Who knew that you could get hours upon hours of entertainment from watching a 6-year-old Georgia pageant princess drink her special "Go-Go Juice" and strut her stuff in some Daisy dukes and a midriff top? If you haven't tuned in to the spin off of Toddlers & Tiaras, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, you are missing out on one of the best ab workouts we've ever experienced! The show is centered around Alana Thompson and her self-proclaimed hillbilly family. The shows gets up close and personal with "Sugar Bear," "Pumpkin," "Chubbs" and "Coupon Queen." In other words, "dad," "sisters" and "mom." NO, we could NOT make this stuff up!

From pageants to bobbing for pig feet, you never know what to expect when turning on an episode of the TLC television show. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo might not be one of those shows that instantly gets a viewer hooked, but on the other hand, it certainly might be! But, the thing we do know is that your jaw will be hanging open for the entire episode and you might be well on your way to your desired six pack after one or two viewings.

So even though our beloved Honey Boo Boo child and her family receive an awful lot of scrutiny and criticism, we can't seem to get enough of them. It's a reality t.v. train wreck that you can't turn away from!

Pink Slip News

Who is looking forward to a nice, long three day weekend?! We know that we are! What better way to celebrate Labor Day than by coming to Pink Slip for a barbeque and a 10% off sale?

On Sunday, September 2nd and Monday, September 3rd we will be open from 11 am-5 pm. We are having our annual two day Labor Day Sale but this year we are turning it into an event! Bring your friends, family and neighbors because everything in the store will be 10% off and this will be our last sale until Black Friday. We all know that shopping tires you out and definitely makes you hungry, so we will be grilling food outside for all of our customers to enjoy as they shop! We hope to see all of you this weekend!

Let Me Update Ya

New dresses, shoes and accessories are still coming in daily! These are three of our new arrivals that everyone is loving . We think that the multicolor beading on the two dresses with the fuller skirts is just incredible and so different from the typical homecoming styles that you typically see! The straight leopard print dress is also a knock out because it is covered in sequins! What girl doesn't love animal print and sequins...especially when you can pair them together to create one BOMB dress!? These dresses are going so fast so if you know you have to have one of these for homecoming, hurry in to see us!!

Model of the Week

This week Tabby Thompson has earned the coveted title of Pink Slip's "Model of the Week!"  We were in love with this dress the second that we saw it on her in the fitting room. Tabby is one of our most stylish clients and we can't get enough of her look! She added some nude flats and a white sweater for a more casual look, but the second that you pair some heels, statement jewelry and wear the dress by itself you have completely transformed the look into one that is much more formal! The peach color of this dress is perfect for Tabby's hair color and skin tone and the shape is great on her. She could not have picked a better dress for the event!

Swoon

Luke. Bryan. Need we say more?! Since summer is coming to an abrupt end, we think that we should credit someone who provided us with constant eye candy and countless anthems to our summer lives. We are swooning super hard over this country heartthrob this week. Anyone who can serenade us and have us drooling by simply singing about dirt roads and tractors is mighty fine in our book! And we like to think of the effortless hat, t-shirt and jeans look as an added bonus.

Style Icon: Blake Lively

This week we are taking some style pointers from Blake Lively. If we're being honest, we have a major girl crush on this gal and a lot of it has to do with her style. There is no doubt that the blonde bombshell is running Hollywood and looking drop dead GORGEOUS while doing it. Blake is such a natural beauty and whether she is gallivanting around town with her beau Ryan Reynolds or turning necks and dropping jaws on the red carpet, her outfits are always perfectly put together and look extremely effortless. Between the hair, the bags, the shoes and the legs for days, Blake could drape a garbage bag over her body and still top the "Best Dressed" lists!

This Week's Jam

We are a little embarrassed to share this week's jam with ya'll, but we just can't get it out of our heads!! Who are we kidding, we're not embarrassed at all that we've been listening to Taylor Swift's new song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" at least 68 times a day. Even though the country-pop sensation has received quite some scrutiny about her latest single from her upcoming album Red, she has done it again with another hit. However, this time she has achieved her first ever NUMBER ONE hit and broke the record for the best-selling single by a female artist. She is showing everyone what she's made of and there is no stopping this blonde bombshell. All we know is that we will NEVER EVER be getting into a relationship with Tay Tay, but we thank all the guys who have because we wouldn't be jamming without their failed attempts to make her happy.

We know that sock buns are the latest hair trend and we have to admit, we couldn't be more in love with the look! They are so easy to do and it keeps the hair out of your face for the entire day. What more could a girl ask for?! We also love that you can sport your sock bun for absolutely ANY occasion. Whether you are going to work, having a fun night out with your best friends or hitting the red carpet, this hairstyle will always complement your look and have everyone talking about your flawless bun!

From Miley Cyrus and Lauren Conrad to Kim Kardashian and J. Lo, we are seeing our favorite celebs rocking this do' every day! And instead of paying thousands of dollars to have someone style it for us, we can watch a quick YouTube tutorial and perfect the sock bun within minutes!

Model of the Week

This week say hello to the one, the only, Camille Patton who is Pink Slip's Model of the Week. She modeled this dress in our recent photo shoot for our 2012 homecoming collection. We think that her look is the BOMB.COM! This turquoise is an incredible color for Camille and we just love the hot pink gloves that are paired with it. The combination of the paisley and animal print along with the embellished single shoulder strap make this a dress that will definitely stand out at your homecoming dance. Work it, girl!

Swoon

This week we are swooning just about as hard as you can over someone. And that someone is Chace Crawford. His piercing blue eyes, semi-rugged look and subtle smirk that instantly makes your knees weak are just a few things on the surface that have us smitten! And did we mention that he went to Pepperdine?!

We are HUGE Gossip Girl fans here at Pink Slip and he is best known for his role as Nate Archibald on the television series. With the premiere of the sixth and final season quickly approaching, we cannot wait to see what Chace, along with the rest of cast, have in store for us. Being the preppy Upper East Sider suits him, very VERY well!

In addition to his Gossip Girl role, Chace has been making his way to the big screen! Some of his recent movies include The Covenant, Twelve and What to Expect When You're Not Expecting. He has won various television awards and PEOPLE'S "Hottest Bachelor" last summer. Now can you see why we're swooning so hard?!
