Swoon: Zach Nichols

So we're flipping through the channels, hit MTV and end up watching the newest 'Challenge.' Before we switch to something with a little more substance like the presidential debate, we're thinking we've seen this a billion times before, but then.... on the telly....we see an angel... an angel with the face of a model, the body of a Greek God, and the hair of... well the best hair we've seen this side of Tim Riggins. Mesmerized, we watched the full 60 minutes just to stare at this babe among babes. We're not really sure what he does in life, where he's from, or anything else that probably matters.... all we know is that we could stare at him for hours. We haven't seen someone this swoon-worthy in a looonnnng, lonnnnnng time. Just enjoy what is about to come your way:

What can we say? We love a man in uniform... even if it's a uniform of a very sad baseball team!
The Cubs may not be showing swagger as a team this year but the resident team hunk has been all sorts of beautiful on that field! We love tuning in to see this swoon-worthy hunk show off his skills! Catch him while you can.. there's no such thing as a post season for this year's lovable losers!

With football season just roundin' the corner, not only are we talking in southern accents but we're reminiscing about how much we miss our favorite TV drama "Friday Night Lights" - more specifically, southern gentleman Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch).

We swoon at the hair, we love the face, enjoy his comedic timing, but we die over his chivalry. A true southern hunk, through and through! We miss him every week on our screens but thank the Gods of Netflix for FNL instant streaming!

Luke. Bryan. Need we say more?! Since summer is coming to an abrupt end, we think that we should credit someone who provided us with constant eye candy and countless anthems to our summer lives. We are swooning super hard over this country heartthrob this week. Anyone who can serenade us and have us drooling by simply singing about dirt roads and tractors is mighty fine in our book! And we like to think of the effortless hat, t-shirt and jeans look as an added bonus.

This week we are swooning just about as hard as you can over someone. And that someone is Chace Crawford. His piercing blue eyes, semi-rugged look and subtle smirk that instantly makes your knees weak are just a few things on the surface that have us smitten! And did we mention that he went to Pepperdine?!

We are HUGE Gossip Girl fans here at Pink Slip and he is best known for his role as Nate Archibald on the television series. With the premiere of the sixth and final season quickly approaching, we cannot wait to see what Chace, along with the rest of cast, have in store for us. Being the preppy Upper East Sider suits him, very VERY well!

In addition to his Gossip Girl role, Chace has been making his way to the big screen! Some of his recent movies include The Covenant, Twelve and What to Expect When You're Not Expecting. He has won various television awards and PEOPLE'S "Hottest Bachelor" last summer. Now can you see why we're swooning so hard?!

This week we're swooning over Neil Patrick Harris, one of the most hilarious actors out there! He recently won his second People’s Choice Award as Favorite TV Comedy Actor for his role as the womanizing Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother. In 2010, he was also named as one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people. Not too shabby, Neil!

However, Neil Patrick Harris is doing a lot more than hosting award shows, guest-starring on various television series, and taking a stab at Broadway. He seems poised to become the first gay actor to become an ultimate A-list star. Rather than being ostracized or stereotyped, Hollywood seems to have fallen more in love with Harris and welcomes him and his life choices with open arms! We love how comfortable he is with himself on and off the camera and believe that he should be seen as positive, powerful influence!

We undoubtedly think that NPH is a Hollywood hunk, but we're swooning over the inside rather than the outside this week!

Swoon: Tom Hardy

It's that time of week again...to find out who the ladies of Pink Slip are crushing on. This week it is none other than the English actor, Tom Hardy. If you don't know much about this fine fella, you better start reading up, because he is DEFINITELY worth swooning over. Hardy battled alcohol and drug addictions in his early twenties but has been clean since 2003. Because of his troubled past, we currently see him in roles where he is a criminal, misfit, or the typical "bad guy." He enjoys these roles because they serve as a reminder of the man he used to be and how far he has come in his recovery process.

Some of his most notable roles were in the films Black Hawk Down, Inception, Warrior, This Means War and most recently, The Dark Knight Rises. This week we're swooning over Tom Hardy for a variety of reasons...his ability to keep us on the edge of our seats, that accent, and obviously his flawless physique!!

Good Lord are we swooning! Over who you ask? No one other than Chris Pine. Some of you may remember this dreamboat from his earlier "Star Trek" days while others have probably seen him in his latest film, "People Like Us." In Pine's case, we strongly believe that his looks speak for themselves and no one will be questioning this week's swoon!

We know that it is SO cliche to be swooning over this babe, but come on...LOOK AT HIM!!! Channing Tatum that is. We think that part of the reason we are so smitten with him lately is because we have been seeing trailers for his new movie, "Magic Mike" every single day. You all know that we think we are the best dancers EVER so we obviously love a guy who can dance as well or better than us. And honestly, that might be every guy in the world.  But wait until you see this man's moves!! As soon as you watch the "Magic Mike" trailer we know that you will be swooning over Channing and his dance moves as well!

Nate Ruess is the lucky guy that we're swooning over this week. Being the lead singer of the band fun., people have just recently begun to discover his greatness. However, we have loved this guy for quite some time. Most people don't know that Nate was also the lead singer in the band The Format. We love Nate's music because it's timeless. Try to find one person between the ages of 5 and 50 that doesn't know the words to the hit single "We Are Young!"

Who are we swooning over this week you ask? MAYER HAWTHORNE! To begin, he is always sporting a suit and his specs. And who doesn't like a man in a suit!? Many people might know Mayer Hawthorne because he has been a DJ for quite some time and was also a hip-hop music producer at one point. But now he is making his own music. Soul music that is! Well, soul mixed with hip-hop and a little indie vibe. Every one of his songs are upbeat and make you want to dance and party. And it's not just the songs that we love. His music videos are incredible! After watching the video for "The Walk" we fell for Mayer Hawthorne. We fell hard. We know that we will be swooning over this hunky musician for quite a while!

It doesn't matter if he is the winner of the title "Sexiest Man Alive" or serenading us to the song "I Swear," we can't help but swoon over Ryan Reynolds! We think that this picture and YouTube video are all that we need to share with you to justify our love for this hunk!

The Pink Slip Blog is bringing back some of our favorite topics to write about! These topics will include style icons, things we love, Pink Slip's pick of the week and new arrivals among others. We love keeping you in the know about the latest trends in fashion, pop culture and happenings at our store! Our favorite topic has to be "Pink Slip Swoon." This is where we will discuss who we're head over heels with that week and why we have taken such a liking to them! This week our Pink Slip Swoon is John C. Mayer. We cannot get enough of him! Not only does he have an incredible voice, but have you heard him on that guitar?! AMAZING! And John, you're not too hard on the eyes. We are so excited for his new album, Born & Raised, to be released on May 22nd. For some reason we don't think that the swooning over this guy will end any time soon!
