Inspiration: Sequins

We're telling you that sequins are going to be all the rage for holiday and spring. You don't have to believe us, but don't feel bad when all your friends are showing off their sparkles and you're in animal print. People You Should Know: Meghan Lorenz

If you're looking at going into the fashion world but don't quite know where you fit - take your que from Meghan Lorenz. Lorenz, a Columbia College Graduate, studied fashion retail management but always had a strong visual sense. Trying to figure out where she belonged in the field, she joined the Macy's visual team and helped with window installations and executing visual presentation for the State Street Windows.

After branching out from Macy's she soon took over the windows at trendy boutique "Eskell"- creating inspiring installations on shoe string budgets. Her work has grown enormously over the past year and we're so proud of her! Meghan is a great person, an inspiring artist, and someone you should know!

Pink Slip Halloween Party

We know picking a Halloween costume can be a little stressful. So we thought we would help out.



You can go as an unopened Barbie Doll and/or Wheaties Box. Not only will it be totally awkward to walk around, but you will have to rely on your friends to carry all of your stuff. I guess it is all in the name of a semi cool costume.




OR you could be Kate Gosselin from Jon and Kate plus eight. Costume complete with the wig showing off her weird haircut!


Whatever you choose to wear, remember you will get 20% off if your wear your costume to the Pink Slip Party on 10/25. HOW RAD IS THAT?!?

Fashion Hero: Emily Valentine

So most of you probably don't even know about the ORIGINAL BEVERLY HILLS 90210- right now, this show is at the top of my que on NETFLIX because it's so good! Drama filled in every possible way! I could never watch the new version because I would be a traitor to my generation.

One reoccurring crazy character on the show was pyromaniac Emily Valentine. She was obsessed with lead character and all around boy wonder, Brandon Walsh - they dated for a brief period in time until she went crazy and had to be committed to a mental hospital. She was awesome. Check out her early 90s vintage look. I LOVE HER!:

Fashion Hero: Naeem Khan

Dig a hole, drop me in, and bury me alive in Naeem Kahn's design house. Add him to my new list of heroes because everyday I see something else that I NEED to have. I think it's about time I took my love of rhinestones and sequins public. I love that the holiday season is coming up because I plan to wear something bedazzled everyday starting November 1st to January 1st. Some of these looks would be perfect!
