We Love: Firefly

Okay, now before you write us off as being uber nerds, just know that this epic space western has firmly cemented a place, in our once callous hearts, as the best dramedy to only live for one season. Way before the mega-blockbusting hit, The Avengers, director Joss Whedon was envisioning this amazing weekly hour of television that always keeps us on our toes! And although all of the characters grew on us, we found ourselves addicted to Captain Malcolm Reynolds... the babe and the brains of the whole operation. So, if you have some time, and you're looking for a new addiction, fire up that Netflix instant queue and add the lone season of Firefly to your nerd repertoire.

We Love: HUNTER GREEN!

With Fashion Week in full swing we have been scooping up all the inspiration our favorite design houses have been dropping down the runway! We have seen some pretty strong themes for Spring 13 so far such as stripes, polkadots, black and white, and VERY bold patterns. Leather, lace, cutouts, and very bright colors have been showing up in many of the dream shows.

When people say "It's the most wonderful time of the year" we clearly know they are talking about September in New York. Check out some of our favorite looks from fashion week so far::

We Love: Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold's Marriage

We think that every single man and woman in the world has fallen into a deep, dark depression after learning about Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold's secretive and spontaneous marriage on Sunday evening. The "Sexiest Man Alive" and his blonde bombshell tied the night at the beautiful Boone Hall Plantation in South Carolina. We can't say we're not jealous of this true power couple, but we'll celebrate the newly weds with some Gossip Girl re-runs and a movie night featuring The Proposal!

Who ever said trends only apply to fashion? With the recent grand opening of TCBY in Orland Park, it became clear to us at Pink Slip Fro-yo is the way to go!
