The Pink Slip Retail Management and Visual Merchandising Internship will help individuals gain insight to store planning, floor planning, merchandise planning and allocation, as well as offer creative freedom to plan and execute all aspects of the storeʼs biggest season.
Requirements:
• Experience or education in retail visual merchandising as well as marketing or advertising
• Enthusiasm for fashion and knowledge of current fashion trends
• Must be of Junior or Senior standing and enrolled in an accredited institution
• Student must gain school credit hours for internship
• Must have a detail oriented personality and not afraid of hands on experience
• Most of all we are looking for someone who has a ʻgo-getterʼ attitude, with an extremely outgoing personality
Candidates interested in the Graphic and Web Design Internship should be organized, have creative energy, a positive attitude and possess the ability to think outside of the box. The selected intern will perform a variety of design work which will include, but is not limited to, photo research, event collateral, e-blasts, web design layouts, promotional design and print layout. The intern may also help with the organization of contact sheets, event photo disks and other promotional materials.
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or related field of study
• Must be of Junior or Senior standing and enrolled in an accredited institution
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and In Design
• Must possess the ability to adapt quickly to a variety of challenges and effectively problem solve and troubleshoot as needed
• Must be able to meet project deadlines
• Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Excellent communication, organizational, and team skills required
• Strong attention to detail, deadline oriented, and ability to multi-task effectively.

The Event Planning Internship will teach candidates valuable event planning and public relations skills while assisting in coordinating the storeʼs fashion shows. In addition to promoting and executing the fashion shows, the intern will be tasked with administrative and non-administrative activities such as drafting press releases, establishing relationships with local businesses, scheduling, and researching events for Pink Slip to attend in order to further promote its name within the community. The intern will also assist in maintaining open communication with event attendees, coordinating and booking talent/speakers/hosts, and organizing the look and feel of the event venue. Other administrative tasks will include, but are not limited to updating development records, filing, data entry, and general clerical work as necessary. The right match for this position will be a highly motivated, professional individual with strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
