Pink Slip Groves: Michael Jackson Edition

Due to recent events, we decided to do a Pink Slip Groves Michael Jackson addition.

I am listening to "Scream"
This is not a song people typically remember - but I dont know why, because its so great. It is a little hard around the edges. He did this song in the early 90's with Janet. Together it is like an unstoppable duo. And their dance scene is amazing!



For Lauren, she is remembering Michael with the classic "Thriller"
Maybe one of the best music videos of all time.
Ask her to show you the Thriller dance...she is really good at it!

Designers We Love: Christian Louboutin

Christian Louboutin has been a shoe designer for about 15 years. Inspired by red carpet events, the staple of his collection are the red soles of his shoes.

Christian Louboutin helped bring stilettos back into fashion, designing dozens of styles with heel heights of 4 inches and higher. The designer's goal is to “make a woman look sexy, beautiful, to make her legs look as long as [he] can.” While he does offer some lower-heeled styles, Louboutin is generally associated with his dressier eveningwear designs incorporating bejeweled straps, bows, feathers, patent leather and other, similar decorative touches.

Inspiration

If you've ever been to art school, you know that one of the most important pieces to all of your projects are your 'inspiration' boards/sheets/whateva. Sometimes it's really nice to surf the great big interweb and find pictures, fashions, colors, and styles that you love. Searching for inspiration can give you a lot of great new ideas for your personal style, your bedroom, your dorms, your hair, makeup... we search the net all the time for fabulous pictures that we bookmark and save for future use. Our 'inspiration updates' will cover pictures and art that we use for our own personal style.

Things we love: Daisies

Daisies are the perfect flower. They look good in a garden, in your hair, in a bouquet, or on your dress!

If daisies could talk, they would say: "We are so cute, how could you be sad when you look at us...get a grip." Yes, we believe daisies may back talk if you cross them the wrong way.

Wait until you see the shop...we may have some Daisies of our own popping up!

Things we love: Picnics

There is something really sweet and darling about picnics. Maybe it is the straw basket, or the cute blanket, or the small portions of food.

For this summer you need to do three things:

1. Get a cute dress (from Pink Slip of course)
2. Buy a ridiculously large straw hat
3. Buy a picinic basket to match your Pink Slip dress

After you have completed steps 1-3 just wait for someone to sweep you off your feet and take you to the park for a picnic. And if prince charming doesn't come...you don't need him anyway! Go by yourself and have a fabulous time!

Note: it was Outkast that quoted "you can plan a pretty picnic, but you cant predict the weather" - They know what they are talking about!
