We Love: Plaid

By this point, almost everyone has at least one plaid clothing item in their closet. This fashion trend has not just appeared on the scene recently, but we have been seeing it since Spring and as early as 2009! The array of patterns and colors is endless when it comes to plaid and this opens up a world for those in love with mixing patterns.

For the holidays: Pair a plaid shirt with your favorite party piece--sequins, tulle or chiffon are all fabulous options.

Work wardrobe: Put a solid color sweater over your favorite plaid shirt and expose the collar. Pair a statement necklace, black pants or a skirt and your favorite shoes with the ensemble and you're ready to get down to business!

Weekend wear: Pop a little plaid when you are getting ready to hit the town! Whether it is a shirt or blazer, you are going to be fashion-forward with your plaid pieces. Pair your plaid shirt with your favorite denim, some heels or boots, and a leather jacket and you're ready to go. Or throw a plaid blazer over something neutral to add a hint of pattern.

We Love: Designer Shades

If there is one thing we surely cannot live without, it is our shades! We will be the first ones to admit that we sit on them, misplace them and sometimes tend to snap them in half, but these are just our shambly shades. We treat our designer sunglasses with the utmost love and respect! We are firm believers that EVERYONE should own a pair of sunglasses that you never ever want to take off of your face for a multitude of reasons. But mainly because we know that we look so, soo good in them! Here are a few of the pairs in our personal collections...

We Love: Honey Boo Boo Child

Who knew that you could get hours upon hours of entertainment from watching a 6-year-old Georgia pageant princess drink her special "Go-Go Juice" and strut her stuff in some Daisy dukes and a midriff top? If you haven't tuned in to the spin off of Toddlers & Tiaras, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, you are missing out on one of the best ab workouts we've ever experienced! The show is centered around Alana Thompson and her self-proclaimed hillbilly family. The shows gets up close and personal with "Sugar Bear," "Pumpkin," "Chubbs" and "Coupon Queen." In other words, "dad," "sisters" and "mom." NO, we could NOT make this stuff up!

From pageants to bobbing for pig feet, you never know what to expect when turning on an episode of the TLC television show. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo might not be one of those shows that instantly gets a viewer hooked, but on the other hand, it certainly might be! But, the thing we do know is that your jaw will be hanging open for the entire episode and you might be well on your way to your desired six pack after one or two viewings.

So even though our beloved Honey Boo Boo child and her family receive an awful lot of scrutiny and criticism, we can't seem to get enough of them. It's a reality t.v. train wreck that you can't turn away from!

We Love: Sock Buns

We know that sock buns are the latest hair trend and we have to admit, we couldn't be more in love with the look! They are so easy to do and it keeps the hair out of your face for the entire day. What more could a girl ask for?! We also love that you can sport your sock bun for absolutely ANY occasion. Whether you are going to work, having a fun night out with your best friends or hitting the red carpet, this hairstyle will always complement your look and have everyone talking about your flawless bun!

From Miley Cyrus and Lauren Conrad to Kim Kardashian and J. Lo, we are seeing our favorite celebs rocking this do' every day! And instead of paying thousands of dollars to have someone style it for us, we can watch a quick YouTube tutorial and perfect the sock bun within minutes!

We Love: Fake Eyelashes (FLASHES)

Even though we're not the Kim Kardashian's of the world wearing fake eyelashes on a daily basis, we sure do love them!! There is nothing more attractive than beautifully thick, long lashes to open up your eyes...even if they are FLASHES (fake eyelashes). Whenever we are going somewhere swanky or have a VIP event to attend, throwing on a pair of flashes is a must for us. After a few times of practically gluing our eyes shut, we have finally got the hang of applying them properly...THANK GOD! Everyone dreams of having the enviable eyelashes, and we're telling you that you can for about $5.00 and a quick trip to Walgreens. Who would have thought that looking like a celeb could be so simple and cost-effective?! So the next time you want to draw some extra attention to your baby blues, throw on some flashes. You won't be sorry!

We Love: Nail polish

There are very few things in the world that are better than getting a mani and pedi. But, when you are as addicted to nail polish as we are it makes picking a single color extremely difficult!! Whether it's OPI, Essie, China Glaze, Shellac or No-chip, we are always glowing when we find the perfect color. Believe it or not, a perfectly polished manicure and pedicure is much more that just a style statement! Picking a particular nail polish color or design can actually say a lot about a person. It can give you some insight into their personality, style and creativity. So the next time that someone in the nail salon gives you a hard time because it takes you just as long to pick your polish color as it does to get your nails done, tell them you are just trying to accurately portray yourself to the world!

We Love: Mac Products

Some people love their PC's while others are huge Mac fans. Here at pink Slip we are 100% TEAM MAC! From our massive iMac at the front desk to our iPads in the fitting rooms, we are forever hooked on the little Apple. And our love for Mac products doesn't end when we leave work! All of the Pink Slip employees have iPhones, Macbooks, iPods and iPads for their personal use! They say once you go Mac you never go back...and we're proving that right!

We Love: Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs is one of our absolute favorite designers! Whether it's his designer duds, sunglasses, watches, handbags, fragrances or anything else that's part of his incredible collections, we can't help but fall in love and be truly inspired by his work. Here at Pink Slip, we are firm believers that something with a Marc Jacobs label is a staple in every girls' wardrobe! We are beyond excited for his Fall 2012 collection because it is a little off-kilter with the variety of colors, prints, fabrics and shapes he used this season!

We Love: Ombre Fade Hair

It may not be a fashion trend, but it certainly is one of the hottest style trends: ombre fade hair! We are so in love with this hair style because it is a perfect example of grunge-glam. The definition of ombre is "a dark to lighter fade of color." As you can see, the roots of your hair are the darkest and the color fades out to your ends. Typically your ends should be about 3 shades lighter than the rest of your luscious locks. We also love this hair style because it is so low maintenance! It looks great down and straight, curled or pulled back. There are so many color variations you can do with the ombre fade hair style so we totally recommend trying it out this summer!

We Love: Colored Denim

You can pair absolutely anything with denim. From blouses to blazers, tanks to tee, everything complements a fabulous pair of jeans. We are so happy to see colored denim as a hot fashion trend for summer 2012. Even though neons are very popular this season, reds, blues and deep green hues are just as fashionable! Make sure that you incorporate a pair into your summer wardrobe!

We Love: Neons

We have become accustomed to wearing neutral colors over the past several seasons so it is refreshing to see major pops of color coming in for spring and summer! You heard it right: color is HUGE. And we're not talking about your typical blues and greens, but rather neons! We have seen some designers use it as an accent color here and there, but others use it absolutely everywhere! From jeans, to dresses, to shoes and bags, neon is the new neutral.
